Athens Bicycle Club Re-Cycle Program Getting More People on Bikes

The Athens Bicycle Club, Athens City Police Department, Athens City-County Health Department, Cycle Path Bicycles, and the Village of Chauncey partnered to provide 16 donated and refurbished bikes to families in Chauncey this week. Partners anticipate that this “Re-Cycle” program will continue, and are seeking donations of additional used bikes and funds for repairs. While you are Spring cleaning, clear out those old bikes in your garage that your kids have out-grown, and donate them to a good cause.

GET PUMPED! and ride your bike to work on National Bike to Work Day, Friday May 17, 2019. This FREE event to celebrate the occasion is again planned for Athens County this year, organized by Ohio University Office of Sustainability, OU Transportation and Parking Services, OU Police Department, OU WellWorks, HAPCAP, Athens Public Transit, City of Athens, Athens Bicycle Club, Black Diamond Bikes, Athens Bicycle, and Nelsonville Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee, with support from various local businesses.
